Old ‘Jeremy Borger on the Web’ clips from cleveland.com now on YouTube
February 18th, 2009 | by Jeremy |Back in 2002-03, I did some freelance work for cleveland.com where they would videotape me at a Cleveland Browns tailgating event, visiting Bloodview Haunted House, or even demonstrating creative ideas for Valentine’s Day. Streaming video online was still in its infancy back then. The video window was small, quality wasn’t that great and harddrive space was pretty expensive, so they didn’t keep all the clips online for very long.
I came across a tape which had three of the episodes on it, so I reencoded them and put them on my YouTube page, including this one, where I visited Bloodview Haunted House in 2002…
They eventually stopped doing the segments due to lack of interest. I really think it was a little bit before its time. I tried contacting cleveland.com recently about doing it again and even though they’d like to, they just don’t have the funds for freelancers right now. Not surprising, considering they just let 10 people go from their staff. But I’m always looking for new opportunities to do stuff like this.
