I’m a big fan of Rover’s Morning Glory and have been for some time. They’ve taken my calls on the air a few times and I even won a date with one of the Thursday Hook-Up Hotties. I was never a big fan of Opie and Anthony, though. I always thought Rover’s show was funny while O&A went for more of the cheap laughs by just being cruel. (and Howard Stern just does the same lame stuff every day…)

However, since K-Rock plays O&A during afternoon drive as I’m going home from work, I’ve been listening to them fairly regularly. I’m just a fan of that kind of radio genre - the funny talk stuff… I did my own lame version of that in college and if I had any drive or self-confidence, I might have pursued it as a career. But now I live vicariously through others as I do my own mind-numbing, dream crushing job.

And I have to say, O&A is growing on me. Are they less mean? Of course not. Has their sense of humor evolved into something more creative and cerebral? No. I think that I’m sinking down to their level. Maybe it’s just the bitterness continuing to erode my soul. Maybe it’s the fact that I have to deal with stupid clients like the guy today who told me he was going to HAND OUT FLYERS this Christmas season instead of running television commercials. Good luck with that, Tim.

I realized I sunk to a new low today when I was driving home and heard the following on O&A and couldn’t help laughing at another’s misfortune. Luckily, it was posted on YouTube, so now you can all enjoy it… I’m a sinner.
