February 4th, 2003 | by Jeremy |The day after I typed the blog entry below where I berated my Internet provider, Adelphia PowerLink, my Internet connection was down. I’m sure it’s just a conisidence. I love you, Adelphia! Wish you the best on that whole bankruptcy thing.
On Friday, I went to a bed and breakfast in Cleveland for cleveland.com. Yes, a bed and breakfast in downtown Cleveland, right near Prospect and East 36th. It’s called The Brownstone Inn and it’s actually really cool! And it’s only something like $75 - $125 a night, which is a lot cheaper than something like the Hyatt down the street which is over $200 a night and isn’t even as cool. So no, I’m not getting paid for referring people there or anything like that, I just think it’s a really cool place for people visiting Cleveland to stay and would highly recommend it.
Then on Saturday, we shot a cleveland.com segment at the Strongsville Chalet in the Cleveland Metroparks. Tobboganning. That place is cool, too, but I’ve been there before. We have a nice first person perspective of me going down the chute which is something to look for when this Valentine’s Day episode is finally online.
Sunday, we taped Episode 20 of The Jeremy Borger Show. Only the second time in the east side studio. And we were “reminded” not to use props from other shows. I guess the Black Liberation Army was worried that some of their regular viewers might be flipping through the stations, see the set and think it was the Black Power Show, but then Chris and I might be spouting off something that might go against the ideas of black supremecy and it could just be a big mess. We’re working on our own set. Honestly.
But the show was decent even though we only had one guest, one skit, and one camera op. But the new studio almost makes it like a new show, so give us time.
Craziness around here. My sink is being repaired and the UPS guy is dropping off packages but I haven’t showered yet because my water is off so I’m walking around the building looking like a slob. But at least I have my tax software! Yay!
